The American Consulate Generals Office in Frankfurt, Germany has recently awared Solar Security Films, Inc. the contract for the removal and replacement of the fragment retention film at the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden.

Company President, John J. Centeno was invited by the U.S. Dept. of State to attend the pre-bid conference and site meeting in February 2009. At the meeting where two local window film vendors from Sweden, two vendors form Germany and Solar Security Films, Inc. being the only U.S. film contractor in attendance.

This project is one of many that the U.S. Government has entrusted to Solar Security Films, Inc. and proves to be a very challanging installation. "Each bidding contractor was asked to submit a detailed "approach" on how they were going to perform the project", states Centeno. "We saw some opportunites to simplify the installation process and create minimal disruption to the embassy staff that the other vendors completely over looked. Doing this type of work for the last 16 years has given us a level of expertise and experience that most other companies in our industry just do not bring to the table."

The project is scheduled to begin on June 8, 2009 and will take approximately 6 weeks to complete. Our traveling installation team is looking forward to spending the majority of thier summer in Stockholm where the summers are cool and the scenery is just amazing!
